This talk will explore a step-by-step framework to help teachers design impactful writing lessons and better engage and motivate students to write. Attendees will be exposed to the process-genre approach and analyze a model lesson using the framework. We will cover genre analysis, the writing process, peer feedback, and teacher feedback. By the end of the session, attendees will have a clear understanding of how to implement the framework to help students go from learning writing to developing into authors.
